इंटरनेट प्रोटोकॉल एड्रेस (या IP एड्रेस) नेटवर्क पर विशेष डिवाइस के लिए डेटा भेजने के लिए नेटवर्क को कनेक्‍ट प्रत्येक डिवाइस (जैसे, कंप्यूटर, सर्वर, प्रिंटर, स्मार्टफ़ोन) का एक यूनिक एड्रेस होता है और कम्युनिकेशन के लिए वे इंटरनेट प्रोटोकॉल का उपयोग करते हैं।

इंटरनेट प्रोटोकॉल (IP) यह एक मेथड या प्रोटोकॉल है, जिसके द्वारा डाटा इंटरनेट पर एक डिवाइस से दूसरे डिवाइस पर भेजा जाता है।

नेटवर्क से जुड़े हर डिवाइस को एक यूनिक आईपी एड्रेस होना चाहिए। आपके डिवाइस के यूनिक एड्रेस के बिना, आप नेटवर्क या इंटरनेट पर अन्‍य डिवाइसेस, युजर और कंप्‍यूटर के साथ कम्युनिकेशन नहीं कर सकते| आईपी एड्रसेस बाइनरी वैल्यू का बना हुआ होता है और नेटवर्क या इंटरनेट पर सभी डेटा को रूटिंग करता हैं|

The Format of an IP Address:

आईपी एड्रेस मे हमेशा नंबर के 4 ब्‍लॉक होते हैं, जो पीरियड के द्वारा अलग अलग होते हें| प्रत्येक ब्लॉक में 0 से 255 कि संभावित रेंज होती हैं, जिसका मतलब है कि प्रत्येक ब्लॉक मे 256 संभावित वैल्यू होती हैं| उदाहरण के लिए, आईपी एड्रेस 192.168.1.10 ऐसे दिखता हैं|

इन एड्रेस मे से 3 रेंज को विषेश उद्देश्य के लिए आरक्षित किया गया हैं| पहला एड्रेस 0.0.0.0 डिफ़ॉल्ट नेटवर्क से संबंधित होता हैं और 255.255.255.255 को ब्रॉडकास्ट एड्रेस कहा जाता हैं| तीसरा एड्रेस 127.0.0.1 लूपबैक एड्रेस है, और यह आपके ही मशीन या कंप्‍यूटर को दर्शाता हैं|

IP Address Standards:

किसी भी नेटवर्क पर इस्तेमाल किए जाने वाले आईपी एड्रेस के 2 स्टैण्डर्ड हैं:

i) IP version 4 (IPv4):

Internet Protocol version 4 (IPv4) यह इंटरनेट प्रोटोकॉल(IP) का चौथा वर्जन हैं, जिसे नेटवर्क के डिवाइस की पहचान करने के लिए इस्‍तेमाल किया जाता हैं| IPv4 एड्रेस 32 बीट लंबा होता हैं और यह 4,294,967,296 एड्रेसेस को सपोर्ट करता हैं (हालांकि इनमे से कई विशेष उद्देश्यों के लिए आरक्षित हैं, जैसे 10.0.0.0 और 127.0.0.0)

192.168.0.1 यह एक IPv4 एड्रेस का एक सामान्य उदाहरण है। सबसे आसानी से पहचाने जाने वाली आईपी रेंज 192.168.0.1 – 192.168.0.255 हैं, क्योंकि इन एड्रेस को हम घर या ऑफिस पर उपयोग करते हैं|

ii) IP version 6 (IPv6):

इंटरनेट के लोकप्रिय विकास के कारण IPv4 के संभावीत एड्रेस भविष्‍य में समाप्‍त होने कि चिंता से Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) का नया वर्जन विकसीत किया गया| यह IPv4 का नया और उन्‍न्‍त वर्जन हैं| इसे IPng (IP new generation) के रूप में भी जाना जाता है।

Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) 128 बिट्स लंबा होता हैं। इसलिए, यह 2 ^ 128 इंटरनेट एड्रेस को सपोर्ट करता हें, जो 340.282.366.920.938.000.000.000.000.000.000.000.000 एड्रेस के बराबर हैं| यह बहुत सारे एड्रेस हैं और वे बहुत लंबे समय तक इंटरनेट ऑपरेशनल जारी रखने के लिए पर्याप्त से अधिक हैं।

Public and Private IP Addresses:

i) Private IP Addresses:

जब कई कंप्यूटर या डिवाइस या तो केबल के साथ या वायरलेस, एक दूसरे से कनेक्‍ट होते हैं, तब वे एक प्राइवेट नेटवर्क बनाते हैं। इस नेटवर्क के भीतर प्रत्येक डिवाइस को फ़ाइलों और रिर्सोसेस को शेयर करने के लिए एक यूनिक आईपी एड्रेस असाइन किया जाता हैं| इस नेटवर्क के सभी डिवासेस के आईपी एड्रेस को प्राइवेट एड्रेस कहा जाता हैं|

ii) Public IP addresses:

पब्लिक आईपी एड्रेस वह होता हैं, जिसे आईएसपी (इंटरनेट सर्विस प्रोवाइडर) देता हैं| इससे आपके होम नेटवर्क को बाहर की दुनिया मे पहचान मिलती हैं| यह आईपी एड्रेस पूरे इंटरनेट में यूनिक होता हैं।

पब्लिक आईपी एड्रेस स्टैटिक या डायनामिक हो सकता है। स्टैटिक पब्लिक आईपी एड्रेस बदलता नही है और इसे मुख्य रूप से इंटरनेट पर किसी सर्विस (जैसे आईपी कैमेरा, एफटीपी सर्वर, इमेल सर्वर को एक्‍सेस करने के लिए या कंप्‍यूटर का रिमोट एक्‍सेस लेने के लिए) या वेब होस्टिंग के लिए इस्‍तेमाल किया जाता हैं| इसे ISP से खरीदना पड़ना हैं|

दूसरी ओर, डायनामिक आईपी एड्रेस उपलब्ध आईपी एड्रेस को लेता हैं और हर बार इंटरनेट से कनेक्‍ट होने पर बदल जाता है। अधिकतम इंटरनेट यूजर के पास उनके कंप्‍यूटर के लिए डायनामिक आईपी एड्रेस होता हैं, जिसे इंटरनेट डिसकनेक्‍ट करने पर काट दिया जाता हैं और रिकनेक्‍ट होने पर नया आईपी एड्रेस मिलता हैं|

IP address classes:

IPv4 एड्रेस मे आईपी रेंज के लिए पाच क्‍लासेस हैं: Class A, Class B, Class C, Class D और Class E| जबकि केवल A, B, और C को ही आमतौर पर इस्तेमाल करते हैं| हरएक क्‍लास आईपी एड्रेस कि वैध रेंज के लिए अनुमति देता हैं, जिसे निम्‍न टेबल में दिखाया गया हैं –

सबसे पहले, Start मेनू को क्लिक करें, और Run को सिलेक्‍ट करें।

अंत में, प्रॉम्प्ट पर ” ipconfig ” टाइप करें और आपके आईपी एड्रेस के बारे में जानकारी यहाँ प्रदर्शित कि जाएगी।

इसके लिए आपको सिर्फ गूगल पर what is my ip या what is my ip address सर्च करना हैं, और गूगल आपका पब्लिक आईपी एड्रेस बतादेगा|
